International Tibetan Hand Bike Tour – 2013
LIFE IS ABOUT DOING THINGS...

Fancy doing something with a bunch of likeminded friends from New Zealand and around the world that will change your life forever?
Well, we’ve got just the plan: you and a few buddies hook up with Royal Mountain Tours and CatWalk to tackle one of the most exciting bike trips in the world .
Our ride is a 4 ½ week journey during June/July 2013 that features not just one but six 5000 meter plus passes, spectacular scenery, challenging bike riding, plus encounters with one of the world’s most fascinating cultures. All this makes for a one in a million experience!
On our ride, we’ll discover the serene beauty of Tibet, known as "the roof of the world". From narrow alleyways and bustling bazaars to spectacular views of the world's highest mountain range, this adventure will follow the classic overland route between Lhasa and Kathmandu. Tibet's majestic scenery, mysterious and exotic religious culture and wonderful people will reward you with life long memories.
OUR TOUR
Royal Mountain Tours www.royalmt.com.np and the CatWalk Team in New Zealand www.catwalk.org.nz have joined forces to make your mountain dream a reality. We are pulling together a core team of 16 to bike Tibet in 2013, of whom at least four will be handcyclists. Every ablebodied person on the trip must be there to support a disabled cyclist.
Bookings will be on a ‘first in first served’ basis and those who pay the $250NZ non-refundable deposit first will take priority. The deposit will be acknowledged as a generous donation towards CatWalk and its goal to support research for a cure for Spinal Cord Injuries if you decide not to go.
This trip will be a big physical challenge alongside the most amazing adventure. It will be a huge mental and physical challenge and should not be underestimated – the rewards, however, will be immeasurable.
If you would like to be a part of this journey, either as a supporter, a sponsor, or a rider (abled or disabled) please email info@catwalk.org.nz and we can send you all the detailed information you’ll need!
