Rockin' It with Wellfield!
Wellfield Lodge have kicked in with a tremendous contribution to ongoing research into Spinal Cord Injury, donating a Road To Rock service fee to the cause.
News of the donation has been described as ‘magnificent’ by the beneficiary, the CatWalk SCI Trust.
“Road To Rock is poised to become a real star,” said CatWalk founder Catriona Williams. “Bill Gleeson and the Wellfield team have been so generous and I can assure you that every dollar raised from this donation will help get ‘wheelies’ rocking on down the road to success!”
The Wellfield donation will be targeted to support racing enthusiasts Chris Weaver, (Ellerslie’s CEO) and Williams (Little Avondale Stud) in their efforts to run the New York Marathon on November 7th this year.
Catriona Williams said it was a particularly appropriate donation. “While Chris and I are pounding the pavements in New York, we’ll be thinking of everyone back home, Wellfield along with all our CatWalk supporters. They’re paving our ‘road to success.”
Chris, Catriona and the other CatWalk marathoners each pay their own expenses to New York but anything raised, including the service, goes directly to CatWalk and the goal of getting people out of wheelchairs and back on their feet.
